on this website describes the role of the Marine Consents & Environmment
Unit (MCEU) and the various consents
regimes which it administers. It also gives details of the application
charges associated with the control of works at sea and the approval
of oil
dispersant products for use in UK waters. A number of pages
are devoted to more general marine environmental topics and fisheries
with links to relevant sites and contacts in the Department for Environment,
Food & Rural Affairs.
